Short quip for today's VICTORY

I have been following a blogger who's daily inspiraton is
                       "I saw God today".

 Well she didn't write one today so I'm gonna write one
 and  from the deepest depths of my soul. I truly know
 I've seen God tonight after President Obama's speech
 about the death of Osama Bin Laden.  I saw Gods
 love in the faces of my two sons who both served in
 Iraq, and are here this very night safe and sound out
 of harms way. God saw in his infinite wisdom to bring
 them both home. I'm only gonna pray for  many more
 to receive the same gift, and may God embrace and
 protect all that are still abroad, and comfort all of
those that still await their love ones.  I can sleep a bit
easier tonight knowing Bin Laden has now met his maker
and has an awful lot to atone for.

LOST MY INVITATION TO THE ROYAL WEDDING

Well, here it is 4:00am Friday 29th and no royal invitation. First off I can't belive I'm even up this early, then when I turned on the tv the wedding isn't until 6:00 - YOUR KIDDING ! ! Am I just suppose to close my eyes and go back to sleep, geez now I'm up for the whole day. I guess I'll get up shower, brush my teeth and get ready for the ceremony. I have tea and a muffin from Perkins that should do. I shopped on line for my hat and shoes which I intended to wear IF I got invited, but obviously it's a private affair, that mustta been the queen mother's idea. I suppose I'll get settled in for the event. I'm looking at the guest arriving and I'm not really impressed....wait.. is that David Beckem (good heavens). He really is to fine for that Posh thing, and that hat slapped on her head and black potatoe sack - lets get real. Now there is a chick with a royal blue 1/2 cresent moon propped on her head that looks alll.....right. Can you believe that Camille showed up (the gaul), Diane should be there NOT HER ! ! That woman should only be allowed out with a leash on and a scarlet letter on her chest - the nerve (Charles is no better) father or not ! ! I just saw a moose head hat, was that 'Fergie's' child - OMG!!!! What was she thinking or not thinking - I would of disowned them too. Me and tweetiebird queen could of hung out, did you see how she threw that lap cloth off in the car and then scooted out the door with her husband after the guard was standing there holding the door for her - she's a 85 year old mess - you gotta love it. Look at William how grown he's become and in that uniform - oh man its a shame he's loosing his hair so young (Rogaine), and Harry what can I say (nothing) - he's the frumpy one of the litter, cute but frumpy none the less. OH....here she comes, here she comes.... doesn't Cate look so classy in that flowing soft dress OMG I gotta have it, and the neckline and hint of beads and lace....aaaahhhh to only dream of such a gown. Did you see Harry nudge his brother that was a precious moment (one of my favorites) just like a mischiveous little brother (sniff) - these are Diana's little (big men) now, all grown up. I need a commerical break while these priest go on and on. I'm back, you gotta love the horse and carriage so regal if I do say so, I suppose the kiss will be next. How rehersed is that yuk, I need more spare of the moment grab and passionately immerse yourself into each others soul - let me stop. Did you see that 1/2 peck (oh please) and then another whole peck - GIVE ME A BREAK ! ! I wish them all the best and hope they blow the roof off the palace tonight. Can you believe William out cruisin' in that Ashton with his new bride- to be young and carefree - all the best. I really wish them all the best especially Cate, when she finally realizes when she wakes up tomorrow she is the next Queen of England (no turning back now). What an imprint to leave on the world, could you ever imagine in your wildest dreams. You are bonafied history book stuff now, how many of us can say that. I can say I was here to see the whole thing.......even the tripped horse. That might be my disguise to get in next time to Harry's wedding. I will dress up as a guard and trip the horse and jump on in his place ( well it's a thought - I could rock that black fur hat). Enjoy your tea and crumpets

Oh boy, a Civil Service Exam

Well I dragged out of bed this morning at 4:30 am. in hopes of making it to the Civil Service Exam in time at 7:30 for an all day ordeal. My father (rest his soul) swore by these exams back in the day, and so I figured I'd update my status since I got an invite. Well to my surprise when I got there I was told that I was only to take the part which pertained to the job (whew...). So that only included the written portion this time - I passed. Now my dilema is what to do downtown with little to no money- its a castrophe. To have come all this distance and only have spent an hour now the rest of the day is open and I'm BROKE ? ? Well I guess it just wasn't meant to be so I guess I will just schlump on back home ( I could catch up on some sleep - what a waste). I'm back home now so I figured I'd check to see if some job prospects may have come through, but to no avail. I thought of going to the National McDonalds hiring day yesterday, but well.... I just cant see myself sporting the uniform yet. And, they don't let you wear earrings (are they crazy). Maybe if I try for a managerial position I can wear them or at least make it a rule in my particular store...hum I should try. I want to do my part when it comes to sincere job seeking, and those 'Power' words we're suppose to use. How about these 'Power' word: Performed duties as a Senior Consultant on executive decisions for regional stores - I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT. I guess its time for me to do my usual daily activites and romp the world - today, I think I will give homage to the sad on going situation in Japan - please donate what you can (give up shopping money). Lets start a blog

Well here I am a month into unemployment and nothing yet in the way of prospects. Oh wait dont let me forget the daily tips on how to get your resume SNATCHED up. For example, todays tip was make sure to use the right 'titles'. Like an Admin. Assist (old) -->(new) Head Office Coordinator or a plain old cashier(0ld) --> (new) Independent Accountant....please! ! ! I would of lied like this long time ago if I actually believed employers bought this mess. Only thing is when you get called in for an interview the trick is to remember what your new 'politically correct' title is now, and hope that the online resume version you sent in matches the paper (1-of-500 of your portfolio copies) your about to turn over to your potentially new boss - GIVE ME A BREAK ! ! But like a trooper I keep on trying everyday looking at new tips, hints anything to help. Hum....I just got a thought about this, what if I post a new tip on a blog daily about how to get a job with my normal home duties (shopping and traveling online) until I get a REAL PEOPLE job. Heck when would you ever get a chance to travel the world on a whem (well Mr. Trump can, but even still) with only 2 dimes to scratch - oooh the possibilities, my schedule will be filled. First thing Iwill do of course is smell the flowers of life before I do anything, then I must shop for a pair of shoes just in case the UPS man stops by, then sit on my 'only class' Lear couch in PJ's and instruct my 'toshiba' pilot for a worldwide destination anyplace in the world and still manage to have dinner ready by 5:00pm. So, who needs to stress over looking for a job, I HAVE ONE... I'm a Professional Waiting Reservation Hostess - have your people call my people tomorrow about a job. Enjoy until the next posting....
